Does ANYONE know how to fix this problem? I've seen this question posted at SourceForge.net and quickplay.phpnet.us, but no one has answered those posts. Since this forum seems to be the least dead of the three, I figured I'd ask here.
Basically, whenever I go to open a GoodMerged rom in QuickPlay, I get the above error. I've tried checking GoodMerge support in the folder options. I've tried running QuickPlay as an administrator (I'm running Vista x64). I've tried editing the security settings of both QuickPlay and 7-Zip to give them full permissions. Still nothing.
QuickPlay seems like the perfect frontend, but it's no good to me if I can't get it to run GoodMerged roms. Sigh. Any help getting it to work would be most appreciated!

Well first off your going to get a reply here. Second I have not seen this but lets trouble shoot it.
Are you extracting to a global dir, ( you can set that up in QP ) IF not try that first. I think its trying to extract the file where its having troubles. Then does it extract but not run? Look in your extract folder and confirm its there or not.

Well, what do you know, I changed "Uncompress ROMs to" to "Quickplay Temp Directory" under Tools>General Options>Emulator Options and now it works. Thanks ulao!
Hopefully this thread can help someone else who's having the same problem.

Or you have some config error (probably not) or the 7-zip32.dll is old and don't support the archives you are using.
I found the web site of 7z32, it's http://akky.cjb.net/
Go to Software page and you find on the bottom of the page the download link.
Backup your old 7-zip32.dll (v4.31.0.3) first just in case, and replace with the new (v4.57.0.1) and see if it fix your problem.
I updated here and everything seems fine, but i never had this problem.
You can try the "sharing and security" proprieties of QP folder and the QP temp folder, change it to allow everybody have full permission.
